Their back! We haven’t seen this UGA for seven games in a row and all the sudden we found ourselves again. Against Kentucky. At home. With the place bubbling over with recruits. Oh sweet mercy, what.a.day!!!!! Let’s dive in.

1st half
Kario crushing them with 17. He was excellent. But the magic number was 2. Only 2 turnovers for our whole team for the half. Also, 12 for 12 from the foul line. Rebounding stayed steady between both teams as it would the whole game.

2nd half
Here we go again. Play well in the 1st half and then blow it in the second half….Start out the first 9 minutes of the second half with 6 total points by us. We are going to blow it again. But our D was steady in that time, and nobody probably remembers this because it was so long ago, but when we were winning big games, what was always happening?!?!? A big Justin Hill three pointer in the 2nd half. He dialed one up and the momentum shifted. We never looked back. Dawgs finish with only 7 turnovers for the game. Unreal good for us. Also, for the game we made 23 for 27 free throws to Kentucky’s 11 for 13. HUGE. killing them on free throws was a magic formula for us when we were playing well early in the year.

Spotlights:
1. Bridges. It’s time to take the soft label off that dude. He fought his tail off for two games in a row. 12 points, 5 rebs, 3 assist and ZERO turnovers. Beautiful. He had 1 assist in the 2nd half. When he finds Jabri in the corner inside 3 min to just absolutely squeeze the life out of Kentucky.
2. Hill. 15 points, 6 dimes. Kid was really good on both ends of the court.
3. Moncrieffe. Only 2 points, but 9 boards. Kid is an animal.
4. Jabri. Three 3’s total, but two of them lethal. One to end the half and one inside 3 min to steal all the momentum.
5. Roberts. Didn’t pout when some of his minutes got taken by Hill. Kept his head in the game and made so many CLUTCH plays on both ends.

Also, shout out to White for holding this team together during a rough 7 game stretch. He found a beautiful lineup to close the last few minutes of the game with too:
Hill, Roberts, Jabri, Moncrieffe, and Bridges. I believe that’s our best closing lineup and that’s what he rode with from about the 4 min mark on until it was really late and offense and defense switch time.

Huge W! Shoutout to all the fans. So awesome to have it packed even when we have been struggling. White, go close on those recruits that were there today! Go Dawgs!

And take that Wheeler! 😁😂
