Despite professional seasons beginning to wind down at home and overseas, several Georgia basketball alums are continue to star for their respective squads.



Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and the Denver Nuggets have lost just one of the last nine games, a narrow two-point decision to the Dallas Mavericks on March 17. In the last six games, Caldwell-Pope has tallied 51 points (8.5 ppg), 13 rebounds (2.2 rpg), 12 assists (2.0 apg), eight blocks (1.3 bpg) and 10 steals (1.7 spg), bringing his season totals to 647 points (9.9 ppg), 153 rebounds (2.4 rpg), 154 assists (2.4 apg), 36 blocks (0.6 bpg) and 89 steals (1.9 spg). The shooting guard has started every game he has played in this season, and the Nuggets have rocketed to first place in the Western Conference with a 50-21 record.



Nic Claxton has scored 65 points (10.8 ppg) with 49 rebounds (8.2 rpg), 13 assists (2.2 apg), eight blocks (1.3 bpg) and five steals (0.8 spg) in his last six games for the Brooklyn Nets as the team moved to 26-45 to remain in 11th place in the Eastern Conference. Claxton leads his team in rebounds per game and blocks per game, and his season totals include 739 points (12.1 ppg), 594 rebounds (9.7 rpg), 125 assists (2.0 apg), 125 blocks (2.0 bpg) and 40 steals (0.7 spg).



The Minnesota Timberwolves and Anthony Edwards have slid out of their joint occupation of first place in the Western Conference with the Oklahoma City Thunder, and the team currently owns a 49-22 record, good for third place in the conference. Edwards, in his last five games, has 132 points (26.4 ppg), 44 rebounds (8.8 rpg), 34 assists (6.8 apg), five blocks (1.0 bpg) and six steals (1.2 spg). In the March 18 game against the Utah Jazz, Edwards unleashed a massive poster dunk over John Collins in the third quarter, earning the former No. 1 overall pick a Sportscenter Top-10 plays nod. On the season, Edwards has 1,798 points (26.4 ppg) – good for top 15 in the league, 377 rebounds (5.5 rpg), 351 assists (5.2 apg), 40 blocks (0.6 bpg) and 86 steals (1.3 spg).



For the Long Island Nets, the Brooklyn Nets affiliate in the NBA G-League, Terry Roberts is still enjoying a strong rookie campaign. With 19 games played, Roberts is averaging 7.2 points per game, 2.9 rebounds per game, 2.9 assists per game, 0.4 blocks per game and 1.2 steals per game. The Long Island Nets are in fifth place in the Eastern Conference with an 18-14 record.



Eleven former Bulldogs are still underway in their respective seasons overseas. A review of each player’s season to date is compiled below.



Aaron Cook has scored 22 points in his last two games for Bremerhaven in the German Pro-A League, also adding six rebounds (3.0 rpg), 10 assists (5.0 apg) and eight steals (4.0 spg). Bremerhaven has slipped to 11th place in league standings with a 12-16 record but remain in position to finish the regular season in a play-off position. Now 20 games into his career with the German side, Cook has amassed 244 points (12.2 ppg), 62 rebounds (3.1 rpg), 113 assists (5.7 apg), five blocks and 34 steals (1.7 spg).



In two regular season wins in the past two weeks, Nemanja Djurisic scored 20 points (10.0 ppg) with eight assists (4.0 apg), three assists and a steal. Ranking first on his side in two-point percentage and offensive rebounds, the forward has helped Polish outfit Stal to a 16-9 record this season, good for fourth place in league standings. On the season, Djurisic has 251 points (11.4 ppg), 126 boards (5.7 rpg), 53 assists (2.4 apg), two blocks and 16 steals (0.7 spg).



In the Georgian Superleague, Mike Edwards is coming off a season best performance in points after posting 24 points, eight rebounds, three assists and four blocks in a 99-97 win over Kavkasia on March 19. Orbi has won its last two contests in league play to jump north of the .500 mark with a 9-7 record, and the team currently sits tied for fourth place in the league standings. In nine games played, Edwards has 117 points (13.0 ppg), 56 rebounds (6.2 rpg), 13 assists (1.4 apg), six blocks (0.7 bpg) and eight steals (0.9 spg).



John Florveus recorded 10 points, seven rebounds and a steal in Bulgarian National Basketball League side Rilski’s dominant 107-60 win over Cherno More on March 23 – the club’s largest margin of victory this season (47). The center stills leads his teams and ranks top 20 in the league in blocks (13). Season to date, Florveus has tallied 327 points, with 146 of those points coming after making his midseason transfer from fellow Bulgarian side, Levski.



Rayshaun Hammonds continues to be a force offensively for Avtodor in the Russian VTB United League having scored in double digits in all but four of his 33 games this season. In the last two match ups, Hammonds had 30 points (15.0 ppg), nine rebounds (4.5 rpg) and three steals (1.5 spg), and the ranks first on his team in points, two-point percentage, rebounds and blocks per game. Avtodor is currently 16-17 and sits in third place of Group B in league standings on top of Hammonds’ 541 points (16.4 ppg), 214 rebounds (6.5 rpg), 39 assists (1.2 apg), eight blocks (0.2 bpg) and 31 steals (0.9 spg).



In the BNXT League, Jordan Harris posted a season high in points (22) in Circus Brussels Basketball’s most recent outing against Belfius Mons on March 22. In the last two games, Harris has compiled 32 points (16.0 ppg), 7 rebounds (3.5 rpg), five assists (2.5 apg) and a steal. The guard has been a reliable factor on his side’s defensive efforts as he leads the team in steals, ranks second in defensive rebounds, and ranks third in blocks, while also remaining consistent at the foul line as he ranks top 10 in the league in free throw percentage. On the season, Harris has 256 points (11.6 ppg), 97 rebounds (4.4 rpg), 43 assists (2.0 apg), eight blocks (0.4 bpg) and 40 steals (1.8 spg) as his side sits in third place in the Losers Stage standings with a 1-2 record.



Jailyn Ingram’s side Gostivar in the North Macedonian Prva Liga have won the last three games by 20 points or more, while also scoring over 100 points in each contest. Ingram scored 52 points (26.0 ppg) over the last two games for Gostivar, adding on 24 rebounds (12.0 rpg), nine assists (4.5 apg), two blocks and three steals. Impressively, the forward ranks first on his team and top 10 in the league in points, assists, steals, two-point percentage, free-throw percentage and rebounds. His 393 points (19.7 ppg), 154 boards (7.7 rpg), 75 assists (3.8 apg), 21 blocks (1.1 bpg) and 4 steals (1.2 spg) have helped Gostivar to eighth place in league standings with an 8-13 record.



Yante Maten and Terrance Woodbury, competing for San-en NP and the Kumamoto Volters, respectively, have impressed in their sides most recent games. Maten scored 74 points (24.7 ppg) with 27 rebounds (9.0 rpg), seven assists (2.3 apg), three blocks and one steal in his last three games. On the season, the former Southeastern conference player of the year has 654 points (15.2 ppg), 325 rebounds (7.6 rpg), 81 assists (1.9 apg), 54 blocks (1.3 bpg) and 29 steals (0.7 spg) to help San-en NP to first place in the Central division of league standings with a 36-9 record. Woodbury, in his last two games, has 42 points (21.0 ppg), nine boards (4.5 rpg) and three assists (1.5 apg). He ranks top five on his team in points, steals, two-point percentage and three point percentage. The guard’s season totals of 804 points (19.6 ppg), 167 rebounds (4.1 rpg), 104 assists (2.5 apg), five blocks and 36 steals (0.9 spg) have helped the Volters to a 32-19 record, good for third place in the west division of league standings.



In the Italian Serie A, Derek Ogbeide’s Pistoia are continuing to climb up the league standings, moving into sixth place with a 12-12 record. Ogbeide has offered 29 points (14.5 ppg), 21 rebounds (10.5 rpg), four blocks (2.0 bpg) and one steal in his last two games, which brings his season totals to 259 points (10.8 ppg), 197 rebounds (8.2 rpg), 24 assists (1.0 apg), 25 blocks (1.0 bpg) and 14 steals (0.6 spg). Gerald Robinson, also competing in the Serie A with Scafati, has seen his side suffer a slight skid as the team fell to 11-13 and 11th in the league standings. Robinson has 32 points (16.0 ppg), eight rebounds (4.0 rpg), 19 assists (9.5 apg) and three steal in the last two games. His 20 points against Tortona on March 17 marked his second 20 or more points outing this season, and his 11 assists against Brindisi on March 24 were a season high. Robinson ranks first on his team and second in the league in assists. To date, Robinson has 240 points (10.9 ppg), 53 rebounds (2.4 rpg), 132 assists (6.0 apg), five blocks and 30 steals (1.4 spg).
