My opinion: Given the info from Dash and others, it seems like it is NOT the money for Raiola. He thought Beck was going pro and now maybe he's not. He doesn't want to compete for the job against top competition. Meanwhile, Puglisi has stayed committed from day 1, not scared to compete even with Raiola in the same class as him.
Reminds me a little of Beck, who wasn't afraid to compete with Dwan Mathis, Jamie Newman, JT Daniels, or Stetson Bennett. And he wasn't scared off when we signed two highly rated QBs after that. Even when things weren't going his way, he showed patience and just kept grinding and eventually won the job.
Patience and commitment to the G is one of the reasons why DJ Shockley is so beloved by Dawg Nation.
