After speaking to some parents and Magill society members we have learned a few things.

Before we dive into this, let's note some caveats.

It's only the fourth day in pads. It was hot as hell and the competition is fierce at all the positions,
On top of all that, it is damn near impossible to evaluate the offense or the defense with Kendall Milton and Brandon Robinson being out and Brock Bowers being used very sparingly.

The heat index was a bit overwhelming but surprisingly the scrimmage wasn't sloppy, i.e. there weren't a lot of offsides penalties and there were only a few holding calls.

Julian Humphrey and Nyland Green played a lot at cornerback. So far it looks like Daylen Everett at cornerback with Kamari Lassiter out with a foot injury. UPDATE HERE

Running back Andrew Paul had some carries. He's coming off that ACL tear. Was good to hear he took some hits. Both Paul and Cash Jones made some outstanding runs after the catch.

Freshman running back Rod Robinson is big but not real quick.

Lawson Lucki and Oscar Delp are the two tight ends that let Georgia run its productive 12 personnel. Delp had a big play for a touchdown on a throw from Brock Vandagriff. M<ayeb 60 yards?

Transfer wide receivers Dominic Lovett and Rara Thomas both have talent. They showed that today.

Speedstar Arian Smith had a couple deep catches today. So too did Ladd McConkey. McConkey also had some big third-down runs on jet sweeps.

More ravings for Mekhi Mews. The diminutive receiver is reliable. He made people miss again, just as we saw in the spring game. His quickness is for real.

Javon Bullard and Malaki Starks looked good at safety. JaCorey Thomas and Joenel Aguero were making plays. Seems I had forgotten about Thomas. He reminded everyone that he's in the mix.

AJ Harris has really big potential at cornerback.

The defense is stout. There were very few missed tackles. The depth on defense is impressive. It's going to be hard for an opposing offense to find a weak spot. Georgia rolls in some really good players on second and third teams.

Jared Zirkel and Peytoin Woodring were both good on kickoffs. Zirkel seemed to mis-hit some field goals low while Woodring got his kicks up fast.

As for the quarterbacks, they all had their moments. If you talk to four or five people as we did, you get four or five different takes on each QB.

Gunner Stockton was facing the second and third teams so he saw a lot less coverage, but he still knew where to go with the ball.
Carson Beck started slow but got better, especially in third-down situations.
Brock Vandagriff was off and on, but as you see above he had his moments.

Austin Blaske and Earnest Green both played a lot. BLASKE UPDATE

In spite of there not being a lot of offensive production, there weren't many sacks or lost yardage plays.
