It is wild how much harder the sec bowl tie ins are compared to other conferences. They have 4 Playoff/New Years Six games and are the lower seed in all of them. Kentucky has to play ranked Clemson, Tennessee has to play the Big 10 West champ who is ranked as well. Compare that with the ACC who as far as I know only plays two ranked opponents, us and NC State plays a lower ranked #25 Kansas State. Louisville finished in 2nd place and they play an unranked team in their bowl game
