It is what it is.

No rules on tampering
No rules on monetary limits
No slotted value
No free agent rules
No rules on outside program control of players

We do all understand where this started and why it happened. It wasn’t players looking for extra money or value of their presence on a team.

It was lawyers, agents and investors looking to cash in.

Funny, thousands of kids played college football for a hundred years on two promises

1) Free education
2) The promise that if they physically and mentally grew, and honed their skill, they had a chance to play pro ball.

If you wanted to see the bowels of the cesspool of sport, hang around AAU ball. AAU ain’t got nothing on college sports now.

So we truly believe college football will hold the passion and tradition of the ages the way it functions now?

Raiola isn’t an issue either way. The whole highest bidder without rules and regulations is really stupid.

Facilities and cathedrals, coaches and historical success don’t really matter. It’s money and who can buy the best players.

And even there, for the money, a player will play anywhere.

It’s numbing. College sports as we know it is gone. It’s a new product that will appeal to the Cherokee Casino and video game gen x crowd.

College tradition be damned. I could care less watching millionaire college players. I hate pro sports.

Yes, providing a scholarship to play a sport is an amazing thing. No longer. Enjoy paying your children’s student loans.

Just venting. Every home game for 20 years. I am done. I hope we win but……..
