Make no mistake about it, folks. Losing Ny Carr hurts. He is a very well-rounded receiver and is absolutely electric with the ball in his hands, and he can go up and get it as we all saw with that one-handed catch earlier this season. Carr is bordering on five-star status for a reason.

Carr's decommitment leaves Georgia with Sacovie White and Nitro Tuggle as the 2 receivers committed in this class. Both are very talented, although different players. But the Bulldogs are going to want to ideally add one more guy at receiver in this class.

Let's start at the top. I don't see Georgia landing Jeremiah Smith, Mike Matthews, or Ryan Wingo. There might be a slightly better chance with Cam Coleman, but that doesn't seem especially likely either.

Looking down the Rivals rankings, there are a few names where there has been mutual interest of some sort in the past. Those names include Dre'Lon Miller, Bredell Richardson, Parker Livingstone, and Zion Ragins.

You wonder if the Bulldogs would try to flip a guy like Mylan Graham (Ohio State commit) or Bryant Wesco (Clemson). Jonathan Paylor is a guy I've heard some good things about, he's committed to NC State. Those are just a few spitball names. Also recall Trey Horne from Rabun Gap had interest from Georgia before committing to Georgia Tech.

Of course, there is the very real and likely possibility that new names will emerge throughout the fall with big senior seasons/late evaluations. That's happening a bit with defensive backs and will likely happen here too.

Let's make no bones about this. This is not the receiver class that many envisioned when Dylan Raiola committed to Georgia this spring. White and Tuggle are very, very good players, but few if any pictured Georgia with just those two in the class and scrambling for a third at this point in the cycle. Time to see how Bryan McClendon makes the best of the current situation over the next three months.
