Mason Short made another visit to Athens today. As we reported earlier this week, this visit was on the docket even before Nick Saban's retirement.
We've reached out to Short and haven't heard back yet. But in the meantime, we have gathered a bit of intel on Georgia's place in this recruitment.
The bond with Stacy Searels has been a strong one for a while. This visit also allowed Short to get to further know Manrey Saint-Amour, the offensive line assistant who has been out on the road recruiting for Searels.
Judging by this picture, Tate Ratledge is also forming a bond with Short. Makes sense since Short will likely end up a guard at the next level.
Sources indicate there are already some members of the Short family on board with a flip to Georgia. Short himself has clearly been open to listening judging by his multiple visits since his commitment to the Crimson Tide.
There's still some time left in this one, and Short is still committed to Alabama. He had been slated to go to Tuscaloosa next weekend. His initial impressesions of Kalen DeBoer and his staff will have a say in this as well.
Still, at this point, I'm liking where Georgia sits in Short's recruitment at this point.
