Why did we do it? It’s not like we have had issues with kickoffs or bama has an unusually good return squad. We didn’t gain any time with a squib kick vs kicking it out the end zone. We would have had to stop them on their first set of downs either way and they would have punted from either field position. Why not have them punt from their 20-30 vs midfield? I know it didn’t change the outcome of the game, but was their a reason for this or were we just being cute?
