It became fairly obvious to me early in the game that we were losing the battle in the trenches on both sides of the LOS, and if that trend didn’t change that we would lose the game. Kirby and the staff need to recruit more lineman in the elite category and improve our depth with top quality O and D linemen. It doesn’t matter how many five stars we might recruit in the other positions; if we don’t win the battle on the LOS, we will likely lose the game. We have to keep our fingers crossed and hope that KS will do just that. I’m not that excited about the fact that we are ranked the number one recruiting class in the nation; if we don’t recruit more and better O and D linemen, it won’t matter.
On a positive note, Kirby knows better than anybody what we need to do, and he knows better than anybody how to do it. Your thoughts?
