in Athens than they did at any other school. That was the case last year and I believe it was the case this year too.

That's why all of this "the coaches said bad things about Jalen Carter" stuff is such nonsense. I mean, I'm sure the Eagles scouts and personnel people talked to Kirby and Tray Scott and probably the entire coaching staff. But it's ridiculous to assume that those comments, whatever they may have been, would have moved the needle in a significant way. The Eagles brass could have asked about whether Jalen Carter "loved football" ... but they're also there at practice... they have eyes and can make those judgments for themselves. Same as every other team.

I think the reason why you employ scouts in the first place is to make those types of determinations without having to rely so heavily on what the college coaches tell you.
