Like Kirby said after the 2017 Natty, “This program ain’t going anywhere - we’ll be back.” And we went on to go 72-9 over the next 6 seasons (ave. 12 wins per season), including 29 consecutive wins, 3 straight undefeated regular seasons, 5 of last 6 SEC East titles, 1 SEC Championship, 4-0 in CFP playoff games, 6 straight postseason wins, & back-to-back National Championships.

Kirby (47 yrs old) is in his PRIME, & so is his program. We ain’t going anywhere - we’ll be back.”

Bama had a similar fate vs. in 2013 (“kick six” at Auburn) vs. their rival to end their first chance at a three-peat. Didn’t stop their dynasty; they made it back to the CFP in 2014 followed by 4 straight National Championship Game appearances (2015-2018), winning 2 out of 4 Nattys. Likewise, Dawg fans have a lot more great years & likely more championships coming up over the next several years to look forward to.

If you play enough games, even the best teams with the longest streaks finally lose one. And if the loss happens to come at/towards the end of a season (against better competition), odds are the timing of that 1 loss will hurt worse b/c it knocks you out of the playoffs (or you lose a playoff game). At least we get to play 1 more game & go out on a winning note vs. #5 team & finish with a top-4 ranking like we should’ve been the whole time. Every new winning streak starts with the 1st win. Time to start a new streak! Go Dawgs!! HBTFD
