Went to Bojangles for breakfast and despite the typical long Saturday morning line after 10AM it was moving fast. Turns out they were only accepting cash so those without were pulling out of the line.

This was the 2nd time this month this location's card processing was down.

In 2021, I was at a Publix the Friday before July 4th and their card processing was having a problem. It happens.

Now imagine if we didn't have the option to pay for goods anywhere with physical currency at any given moment. What if your purchase would be an essential item or service and not something you can just walk away from?

Why does our federal government need to push for a digital currency when private banks already provide a digital representation of our currency?

Absolute control > moronic idea.
Plus if "they" deem that you have eaten too much fast food for the month - digital currency can stop you from buying your biscuit and coffee.

They would tell you to go eat some bugs instead!
