We need to start parenting. We need the Biblical family unit to train our children to work, love and mediate conflict.

Our culture is willing to give the raising of our children to others then surprised when they aren’t ready for life.

Our responsibility to our children starts with their relationship to God, to respect for the life of others and keeping our focus on that which honors Gods desires for us, not ours.

It is then when we prepare our children for life.

I’m willing to bet that one of the contributing factors is the downward spiral of public schools across the country. Got to get that corrected first.

No, it's because kids aren't signing up for various reasons and for the few that do many are ineligible due to automatic disqualification due to illegal drug use, prescription drugs (e.g. anxiety/depression meds), and being physically unable to meet minimum standards.

That's a horrible idea. All-volunteer service produces better results & that still doesn't eliminate the root causes of those currently ineligible.

Conscripted forces are an inherently bad idea, no matter how you train them. They will never be equal to an all-volunteer force. We don't need large numbers, just enough to meet requirements.
