Zipper - Born yesterday 1975
Formed in 1973, Zipper was the first band to release an album on the Whizeagle Records label in 1974, with Lorry Erk on drums, Jim Roos on guitar, Greg Shadoan on bass and Fred Lee Cole on vocals. It's basically heavy rock with Led Zeppelin-overtones, raw and rocking.
The album (Zipper)is quite rare in its original form now, was re-released in 1994 as an LP/CD with two additional tracks. Zipper CD music Very interesting 70s hardrock with good songs. Like a cross between Alice Cooper and New York Dolls with a bit of Led Zep and Youre very close. Singer sounds like Curtis Mayfield in places which makes this quite a hilarious listening experience. Not Your average run-of-the -mill stuff. Sound quality is very rough but listenable.
Tonight's nugget plus two other tracks.
