The point ppl like you don’t understand is that the reason FOX exists, and why Rush became popular, is precisely bc the legacy media supports the Dems and lib POV every day, all day, and on every issue. I go back to a statement made in 2017 which I think is relevant, if not for Fox News Trump would most likely have been impeached because of the Russian hoax. That might be an exaggeration but there were several networks running nightly shows screaming for impeachment saying evidence was everywhere. Now your counter argument maybe CNN and others would not have gone ultra Liberal if it were not far Fox and I think that is relevant. Regardless, MSM has not only gotten more liberal, it is more emboldened thus the disconnect from 70% of country which is much less partisan about most issues like this particular one - loan forgiveness for the masses by the executive branch
I disagree. The right has gone farther right, which is why it seems that MSM is more left, but in fact NYT CNN all have public editors moving them right to catch up. On most issues this overton window continues to shift right. Hollywood is a different story.
I will concur that CNN has moved from the loony tuned left toward the middle. I think if they moved more middle they would get more viewers like myself. CNN opinion piece today about Fox was informative but seemed hypocritical to me, regardless I do scan it daily to see what I might be missing. In fact, I scan it before Drudge which has gone upside down, not sure of their target market

The truth is there is very little that separates us. The media and pols push and highlight the extreme simply for eyeballs and votes. There are only a couple of social issues where there is some division, but even if there is it far less than portrayed. Economically, we’re almost all on the same page too. But, there’s money and politics in division.
But we better start paying ****ing attention to China.
