On my way too long commute home (seriously, can we put a ‘Georgia is closed’ sign up somewhere?) this afternoon, I was thinking back to the start of the 2021 season season and how optimistic we all were about the team primarily because of JTD at QB. But then the offense sputtered against Clemson, he sat out game 2, lit it up against SCar before then getting hurt against Vandy and we basically never saw him again… So my question is, what happens if he never gets hurt? Do we still win the National Championship in 2021? Would Carson Beck have been our QB in 2022?
It’s a crazy ‘sliding doors’ type of moment that completely changed the trajectory of our program. And all I can say is thank god it turned out the way it did! Lady Luck finally looked favorably upon our Dawgs!
