Getting other large states to take similar actions is what it will take to stop corporate activism. Corporations aren't inherently liberal, but they listen to their investors. You can blame CALSTRS and others for the current wave of corporate activism. If enough states (large population states, Kansas doesn't move the needle) prohibit public investing based on ESG scores, it will become a thing of the past.
