UGA has only retired FOUR numbers in 100+ years:
34, Herschel Walker: GOAT, Heisman Trophy, National Champion and a million other awards. Easiest one by far.
21, Frank Sinkwich: Heisman Trophy, National Champion, 2x All-American. Another easy one.
62, Charley Trippi: National Champion, came back from WWII to become an All-American. No problems there.

.
.
40, Theron Sapp: Had a 1-yard rushing TD against Tech in 1957.
What gives? I love the lofty standards needed to retire a number, and Sapp simply doesn't meet them.
