I know Smart and company know as much about defensive football as anybody, so is it purely a personnel issue? A lot of people will want to blame Chambliss, but he normally grades out well, and he is obviously not the the only edge defender. We may be young at OLB, but we also have a lot of athletes at this position, we just can't give up 7 plus yards on every edge run.
Why the problems defending the edge?
