Disclaimer: I realize we have money at our disposal and Kirby does things differently, but man, the differences in philosophies are pretty stark.
The Univeristy of Georgia spends way more on their recruiting budget (travel, expenses etc.) doing things the old fashioned way (in ways we dreamed about Richt being able to do) than outside forces representing others schools do, just throwing money at kids without air travel, miles on the road and forging/nurturing tangible relationships... circumventing every conventional path traveled to sign recruits before 2021.
In many instances there are schools (Texas, Texas A&M, USC, Louisville, Florida State, Miami, Auburn) doing a tenth of the work we are to get a similar recruiting victories without the hours of calling, texting, sweet talking mom, getting to know familiy members, talking to coaches.
These other schools aren't cheating but damn if they don't have a lot more cheat codes (video game term) at their disposal than we do (and Bama and tOSU for that matter).
