I'd like to thank all my professors who made this possible.
During my 4 years in Athens, I was never asked what my SAT was or about my GPA. However, we often talked among ourselves about our highest score on the Flash-O-Matic bowling machine at Allen's.
Georgia was different then. Girls could wear hoop skirts but couldn't wear shorts to class. There weren't any bars downtown but there was a Varsity and Barnett's News Stand.
They wouldn't let me in today but back then I didn't go to Georgia for the academics. I was like some of today's football players. I went because I liked the family atmosphere.
