To me, the right call on that play is one of their split zone runs. I'm not sure why they had Vandagriff drop back and pass on 2nd & 8.
That was the play of the game, because an incompletion made it 3rd and 8, and then they had to pass. With how their running game was working, if they just run the ball there, I think they run the clock down and get it close enough eventually for another FG maybe inside of a minute, depending on how we used timeouts. I'm not sure if we would've stopped their running game there, but they abandoned it at a crucial time in the game.
Also, in order for us to win, we had to defeat the refs last night. That was a completely one-side officiating crew (thank God for replay, or we'd have been really screwed). Hope we don't get that crew in any future games, although I know we won't be so lucky.
