… when this season is over, folks will realize how Jalen Carter, Nolan Smith and to a lesser extent, Warren McClendon, going down last Fall was a blessing in disguise. These injuries setup an ideal situation where UGA was forced to get more quality game experience for our young guys BEFORE these high-impact vets actually left. Of course we will miss all three … but I don’t think most folks realize how valuable of an opportunity it was, especially with Carter & Smith’s injuries, for our younger kids to be forced to be productive without these 2 high draft picks on the field. We are NINE Deep along the DL … this D is going to be some kind of nasty, as Grey said earlier - very possibly superior statistically than the ‘21 squad. All three levels are loaded with talent and depth … more good times are a comin’.
