The defense is loaded with future first-round picks, but the offensive skill positions left coaches unimpressed.
“I’m shocked a kid like Ladd McConkey even finds his way on the field at a place like Georgia,” one head coach said. “I’m shocked with Bennett, too. That’s all mind-numbing to me. Coach Monken is one of the best in the country at getting those average-ass dudes playing pretty good. (McConkey) is just whatever. I still don’t think I would take that kid. It’s crazy, right? You look at the kid and he can’t even fill his pads out.”

Crazy thing is I think the offense was more consistent game to game than the defense was in 2022. Both were great, but felt like the only time the offense was really stopped was more by design by Kirby due to weather (at Kentucky in that wind and vs. UTK with the rain in the second half)
