him arriving at the scene that night. The article questions does Gantt have an apparent "buddy-buddy" system with the Athens Police as the Police Chief, J. Saulters, called Gantt and told dispatch that Gantt was on his way out to the scene. They bring in a Pitt Law Professor in the article (really weird IMO) who gives info and questions that Gantt could have affected the investigation of the crash scene that night (atleast that is how I read it). I will link the story here but pretty sure you have to be an AJC subscriber to read it.
They also have the 1:30 clip of APD Police Chief Saulters calling into Athens Dispatch and talking to a lady about the supervisors on scene and letting the lady know about Gantt. The lady dispatcher doesn't know who Gantt is and Saulters explains to her what he does. Its embedded in the article FWIW.
