This past year will go down as one of the great Georgia lines, particularly as the season wore on and folks like Amarius really picked up their game. We've been good in pass blocking in recent years but we were almost perfect this season. No doubt Stetson had a season for the ages, but the protection he had made his job much, much easier. It's ironic in a way. People try to downplay him by saying he's surrounded by an elite supporting cast, and they're thinking of wideouts and of course tight ends. But it's really the OL's blocking that is the elite supporting cast. Having Van Pan return gives us a chance to be very, very good again with a new quarterback. If any one player was to return, this might be the one we needed most.

People don't pay much attention to OLs. Everyone can name the best running backs we've had--what were some of the best lines? I recall 2002 was a special offensive line (2003 was the opposite). The lines during late Bobo, '12 - '14 were all pretty good. And the Junkyard Dawgs had some that would blow you off the field in '75 and '76. Our program goes nowhere without the offensive line. Hope we can keep this level.
