1. Tought losses w/ Buford kids as of late (Bolden, Houston, Justice Haynes). However, by no means has Kirby or UGA been shut out in recent years -- Nauta, Dallas Lee, Kolton Houston and previoulsy Mikey Henderson, Tim Wansley.........
2. I think Gwinnett Co/Metro Atlanta kids are different especially considering the number of families that have moved into the region from other parts of the country -- Matthews (Parkview), Downs (Mill Creek), Booth (Archer), Derek Brown (Lanier) and half a dozen from Grayson just to name a few who failed to commit. Granted Bolton was no stranger to Athens, but we have missed on many kids within a 60 mile radius.
3. NIL sucks. However, we have received plenty of commitments from kids from across the country by "outbidding" or spending other institutions.
4. Culture is incredibly important. However, most of the kids we recruit mold to the culture. Some take longer than others and a few never make it. The announcement was a shit show. However, if the announcement press conference is a factor, we would not be able to compete at this level.
5. Mark my words Edgerton Houston will be a much bigger miss than KJ.
6. Jadon Perlotte may be a better prospect than both of them and he is presently committed to UGA from Buford.
