Anyone killing any good bucks ? What does the kill look where you from ?

I stopped hunting 25 years ago, I'll never kill an animal again unless it's necessary.
I recognize the need to cull herds though, but there won't be many wounded deer if hunters only take kill shots. I just think it's wrong to shoot from too far, from a bad position or at a moving target.

All the deer seemed to disappear around here with the opening of deer season up here in the North Georgia Mountains. The acorn crop was really good this year and not much sign around the woods up here so not sure if the rut was screwed up this year because of the warm weather or what's up. So season pretty well sucked.

Right outside St George SC small farm hunting not bad this year but coyotes have been a problem with fawn crop don't even think about finding a wounded deer if you leave over night
Coyotes were so bad at our club here in GA we instituted a predator control program. We killed 43 coyotes.

Acorn crop above 2500 ft ( in the real mountains) was non-existent, deer moved down in settlements to the grass, hunted here for 35 years and it was at best average, plenty of bear tho!

SCDNR brought them in over everyones objections now that there is a major problem they dont want to hear about it . just say sorry now deal with it.

I see how this works... your mountain is bigger than my mountain? LOL Well, on my mountain (which is above 2500) feet there were plenty of acorns this year.

They were brought into Fl. by fox hunters for their pens. Nothing wrong with fox hunting(I did it when I was younger). Chasing them in a fenced in area was not my idea of sport. Course a lot of them escaped and now have problem.
