for this. We are empty nesters and both ready to get out of the insanity of ATL. She grew up in FL and wants to get back to the water. I am a hard “no” on FL but we both love the low country and Charleston seems like a great combination of a smaller city and coastal setting that still has the restaurants and social things we like about city living.. But it would be a huge change for me as I’ve lived in ATL my whole life (I’m mid 50s) and I only know a few folks down there. Wife went to Clemson (don’t even start) and has several friends on Daniel Island that seem to love it. Wife wants to be “on the water” but I don’t want to be on the front lines for the next Hugo on a barrier island, so Daniel might be a good compromise. But her friends want us to move there so I don’t consider their opinions to be objective!
