In 1972 (I was 9) the star qb for Tech(first black qb at a major southeastern college) refused to practice after not being given 4 extra tickets (apparently a NCAA violation but I find it hard to believe they couldn’t have settled this some other way) He was thrown off the team and Tech came to Athens with a kid named Stevens if memory serves. We beat them like 27-6 or something.
If Philo is sitting to transfer this would be far far worse in my opinion. I don’t know it that’s the case - it really doesn’t make all that much sense frankly) but the situations feel similar.
I’ll also say if it’s to be with Faulkner which I kind of doubt, that would be extraordinarily uncool and I would certainly never want him near our program.
