In the modern era of the AP poll (1968 & onward) or the last 55 seasons, Georgia ranks as follows among its power 5 competitors: T-5th in national championships, 7th in winning percentage, 7th in total wins, 7th in least amount of losses and has the longest active bowl streak. We are current back to back national champions, the only team to do that in the CFP era, are winners of 33 of our last 34 and have won 17 straight. We have won more than 70% of our games over the past five decades as well.
Below is why I believe the modern era to be a significant marker in college football history.
