Well, that sucked. It has to be tough investing in a kid and seeing others win out, at least for now.
Some thoughts:
Our in-state recruiting is perplexing, but I wouldn't call it problematic. Gotta find the RIGHT kids, wherever they are
I'm unphased by the report he told UGA he was coming. I'm told what people think I want to hear every day. If I dropped patients for that, I'd be out of business. It's tough to say "no" to someone important to you, particularly an authority figure. I'd wager Kirby is annoyed but will stay on the kid
I don't blame kids for going for big NIL packages. I'll say it again Money now is better than money later. I think our pitch of "come here for less, earn more in the NFL" is not good advice. I'm grateful for the kids who go for it, but there's a significant risk for them.
