That UK thread got me reminiscing on traveling abroad. Hopefully we will soon be able to again. The UK actually wasn't the worst but pretty close:
Worst: Costa Rica: Honestly couldn't get one decent meal
Best: Thailand: Even the hole in the walls had amazing Papaya salad. Good news is what you get here in the US is pretty Darn Close if you go to the right place. I did get food poisoning on the way back from our honeymoon there and spent the entire 24hr flight shitting my brains out.
Note: China is wild. That was where I did my study abroad for my UGA MBA. Probably the most fun I've had with food. Soup dumplings (haven’t found anywhere in the US that can touch them), hot pot, scorpion (Beijing street stalls), peking duck. Just wild experience eating there.
