Apparently, the program is getting a modern update to its agenda and clearing more room for guest speakers. Gonna miss him and his big hats, big stories, and big heart.

He had a tough transition from male-only meetings to coed as I heard the story. Coach Richt apparently took exception to one of his jokes back in the day and he's been somewhat hemmed in ever since. Still, you would sit there nervously listening to him skirt the edges of appropriateness and laugh your ass off at either what was said or what could have been said.

To say Little Bobby is a character is picking too little of a word to describe too big of a life. I've heard Little Bobby stories my entire life and now realize all of them were likely true and probably twice as incredible as they sounded at the time. I doubt any athlete ever got as much mileage out of being a long snapper as did Poss. Too, I doubt anyone ever got as much life out of Athens, GA as has Poss.

Time moves on. Things change. Glad I got to see a little of the show that was Bobby Poss, Jr.
