My dad retired from Sysco Foods this week. 30 years driving that truck around the state. His work allowed me to chase my dreams. I am very proud of him and excited for the life he gets to live untethered from I-75 and I-16.
Update (10/31):
My dad was recently honored by the International Foodservice Distributors Association and inducted into its Truck Drivers Hall of Fame.
The local paper in Dublin wrote about him. In fact, the author is my cousin. My dad never seeks spotlight, but it's cool for him to receive it.
