Just spoke with Davis a few minutes ago. He left Athens this afternoon.
That’s right - Davis has been on a de facto official visit at Georgia since Saturday.
I’ll have a full story coming, but this weekend helped move the needle with Davis in a major way. He told me he loved the way Georgia uses its EDGE guys in the defense, and he got to learn more about the academic side of things too.
Sam M’Pemba and Jamaal Jarrett provided glowing reviews of the program. Their message was similar to what players often tell recruits - Georgia is hard, the coaches will make you work, but it’s all worth it to be developed.
I like where Georgia sits in this recruitment at this point. Duke, Clemson, Alabama, and LSU were listed by Davis as the other top contenders
