Can you be a good coach and lack the ability to call plays?

I don't question Coach Bobo's football knowledge, his ability to recruit, or his ability to teach. I have been less than pleased by the play calling, even knowing that some of the plays don't succede because of execution or just good defense by the opposing team. It just seems that Bobo lacks imagination and relies so much on the game plan that he does not adjust in a timely fashion if the plan is not working. If something is not working, you change your attack. You don't keep doing the same thing over and over hoping for different results. Maybe we don't need a different coach, just a different play caller. Your thoughts.
