In your opinion, what should we do about/with China given what they have done regarding SARS-CoV2, theft of intellectual property, industrial espionage, and everything else.

In my opinion, we did this to ourselves, corporate greed did this. I think that is pretty obvious, but with damaging tariffs, bringing manufacturing back here or more friendly countries (incentivize them with protection), severe sanctions, and every other option available except military (and position ourself even with that, we can reverse course as much as possible.

Getting in bed with a repressive communist nation that has now changed course to a thievery nation can’t continue. They should now be in the “axis of evil” with Iran, Russia, NK. I don’t see how this can go back.

I dont know where cheap quality keeps coming from. The biggest manufacturers there dwarf ours in size and with the latest in tooling and machinery. It isnt like they just throw 10k people at it, its way more advanced in robotics and machinery.

I agree 100%. China has intentionally screwed us and stolen intellectual property, and sabotaged our corporations to the extent it is not to be overlooked.

The Chinese have what I call “people for people” there are so many people the labor cost is incredibly low because people just want to work. They do in fact throw people at it and do not always rely on machinery. If that were the case American manufacturers would be able to compete. In terms of poor quality, if you are buying construction materials it is known in my business that stone from China is way cheaper, but the tolerances of size and more importantly thickness is way off making installation difficult. They don’t always have the best machinery and they absolutely rely on humans. It’s more flexible and cheaper.
