In this off week, trying a diversion thread that doesn’t include Mike Bobo:
Has there ever been in the history of MLB more of a lock for NL MVP and Cy Young than Ohtani and Sale? Ohtani’s 50/50 stats are well publicized, but let’s review Sale’s:
> 18-3 win/loss (MLB #1)
> 2.38 ERA (MLB #1)
> 225 Strikeouts (MLB #1)
> 11.4 Strikeouts per 9 (MLB #1)
> 175 Adjusted ERA+ (MLB #1) full disclosure, I don’t know what this means
> 0.456 homers/9 (MLB #1)
> 6.4 War for pitchers (MLB #1)
Historic season by Sale, and let’s hope the Braves don’t waste it. It would be awesome to see him dealing in the playoffs.
