I am WAY ready to be done with the cicada invasion. A couple have snuck into the casa (via garage) and cause our doggie (Aussie) to go berserk. Jumping and crashing into things she ordinarily would not. And on the couple of occasions when I've done some weed eating over the last few weeks, I have been assaulted. Presumably because of the buzz of the Husqvarna. Had em in my shirt; on my head, hat, glasses; and are all over my garden plants.
Buzzing and clicking reminds me of Hitchcock's 'The Birds'..... just an eerie sound. But so many and so loud the back yard just isn't fun right now. Even with the weather perfect for grilling and hammocking.
And the local birds don't seem to be doing their fair share of pest control. I guess they're well sated and don't bother to fly around.
