All I heard at the start of the season was that Carson Beck is the most-likely first pick the draft (based on a full season, a bowl game, and a big win over Clemson). Admittedly, he had a bad game against Kentucky, but his OL and his TE's played horribly, and the first half game plan was vanilla at best.
And now many Dawg fans and media types are saying he is not a good quarterback, not a good leader, doesn't have the dawg in him, distracted by his girlfriend, etc. I am surprised at how fast folks have turned on him.
I am not feeling great about the Bama game and the Texas game based on what I saw against Kentucky. But my concerns are: (1) Can't run; and (2) Can't stop the run. End of story. I am not worried about Carson Beck. He'll bounce back if the OL gives him time.
