With all the talk of coaching changes this recent rule change came to mind. It’s variable we haven’t talked about much since the rule changed in June. Could there be a scenario where Kirby hires an NFL or seasoned college OC that doesn’t have to recruit? Would this open a path for someone like Joe Brady or Todd Monken who are brilliant offensive mind but, don’t care for the grind of recruiting to come to Georgia? Perhaps they don’t even have to coach a position group; Brandon Streeter can be the sole QB coach.
Alabama is doing something similar with Cain Womack. He isn’t going to coach a position group next season. Could this be an option to free up Shu to focus on defensive strategy?
