I've got Netflix and Amazon Prime and HBO now but that is not gonna help me when football season starts. What is the best service to get that will give me access to most Dawg games and most regional games?

Thanks in advance.

Trial all of the streaming services that feature ESPN and local programming (CBS, ABC, NBC, FOX) to cover all of your bases. All these services feature a trial period up to 7 days, if I'm not mistaken.

Seeking advice from others can help, using the Google machine to research helps as well. Best knowledge will come from hands-on test driving each service and see which one fits best.

For myself, Hulu Live TV , PSVUE, and YouTube TV all ensure coverage of UGA football and pretty much every other college football game. But PSVUE is glitchy and twitchy, with freeze-ups and that makes it expendable.

I flip flop between Hulu live TV and YouTube TV from month to month, depending on which service is cheaper.

HD antenna, gets you the networks. Amazon Firestick jailbroken gets you espn and other tv stations, if a family member has cable get their username and password and use the apps for tv stations and pay the family member 5-10$ for their help

I'd check into Hulu Live, YouTube TV, Sling TV, PS Vue, etc. They are, basically, cable subscriptions, but streaming. Way cheaper than paying for multiple mirrors, and you can, on some services, get multiple mirrors and off-site. Just look for the content and service you want. I'd go that way if I wasn't already locked into TIVO+XFinity for another year +.

Another tv thread about how poor folks are...................just stick with cable why don't ya? You gonna have to stay with them for internet ya know.
What? I haven't cut the cord, but have definitely come close more than once. I just don't fully trust the internet for live sports (ironically I have DirectTV which can cut out when it sprinkles, but that's a different conversation).

But back to the topic, what is wrong with people exploring ways to save money while receiving a majority of the channels they want?

Direct has a lot more issues than streaming from what I've heard. In fact, I think about everyone will be streaming in about 5 years.

I use YouTube TV, made it through all of last season, love it year round. Took the recommendation of someone on this board. Dropped cable, dropped the land line, and I'm spending half of what I did before. I do agree with others, do all the trial stuff first and see which ones you like. OR go to suppose.tv to see which one will probably do the trick.

I believe it, I'm almost at the end of my 2 year contract (August 1st this year will be 2 years) which is actually the main reason. I refuse to buy out of it.

With PlayStation Vue I have all ESPN channels, Fox sports regional channels, NBC Sports, CBS Sports, MLB, NBA, NFL, Big Ten and every local network. I am in Nashville, TN and I have a large family and we get 5 simultaneous streams. My wife also gets HGTV and 3 Hallmark Channels. I pay 59.99 mo

The big names will have you covered (directv now, YouTube, ps Vue, etc). They all have 7-10 trial periods. Try them all out and see which one works best for you. Directv now worked best for me, but it doesn’t work well for others. Best thing is no subscription and it takes a few minutes to cancel one and switch to another.

YouTube tv is very sports friendly, they did go up a bit in price for all the discovery networks, but you can add like 6 users so I supply myself, my parents, and my sister with free TV. Plus it has a built in DVR but I think they all do now.

Wife and I had Hulu Live for two years and loved it. Never missed a game and great layout for football binge watching on Saturdays. Others really like Playstation Vue but I've never had it. Hulu Live was much better than Sling and Direct TV Now in my opinion.

Wife and I moving to Nashville and I'm getting 125 streaming channels from xfinity including internet for 97 a month including taxes. FYI

With unlimited internet on my phone or WiFi, I have found directTv to be very good. I pay 67 a month, all movie channels and sports package. When it rains, I stream or screen mirror. Haven’t missed a game. The phone app is great also for travel.

How in the world do you pay $67/month and receive all the movie channels and sports package? My monthly bill is literally twice that, and I do not get any movie channels. Are you within their year 1 promo?

Hulu...but if you look at it what all the additional subs cost just stick with cable.,you’re not saving much.

Got a question for you, buddy. I haven't posted on the HOTD in quite a while, but I stop by to lurk occasionally. Saw some posts about Ty Ty having surgery. Always liked him (tried to meet him in Athens on a couple occasions, but it never worked out). I know you post over there. Do you know the details? Did he suddenly become ill? I see references to a heart pump. Does he now have a literal mechanical heart or is this something just assisting his heart after open heart surgery. From what little I can gather, it appears pretty serious. Thanks, man.

It's getting that way.... at first cutting the cord was a LOT cheaper. It's still cheaper short of the introductory deals some providers give you but I think it's only going to be cheaper for a couple of more years at best.

That said.... best choices are Hulu and YoutubeTV

End of 2 year deal, threatened to take my att cell phone to Verizon and switch to cox. They were more than happy to renegotiate. I used a lifetime customer value equation. I was routed to a customer retention specialist.

That's incredible. I'm already with Verizon though, so I can't play that card.
