What do my fellow Christians on the Chat think about this post from the pastor?

IMO it is ridiculous. But I know people like this. No more whacked out than a Supreme Court justice appointed by Biden, who didn’t know the difference between a man and a woman. So I am not sure if you follow that viewpoint, how this would matter to you. Funny how it almost sounds like a Muslim view of women.

I saw a guy interviewing kamala voters last night. Asked why Kamala. What policy do you love of hers? Response. She is great. Ok. Next question. Do you think Donald Trump is a fascist? Response. Yes. Next question. What does fascism mean? I don’t know. My response. God help us. Back to Christianity.

I’m more interested in their response to the preacher that rages against Trump putting the laws of man in the Bible and then hawking it on TV. That dude was pissed.

I think you are probably thinking about this in terms of an asshole husband or unhealthy marriage. In a true healthy Christian marriage things are talked about extensively, prayed about, and a respect for the wife's opinion is weighed just as heavily as the husbands, but you do need to be unified and make a final decision. You have to be in a place where the wife respects the husband enough to lead the family because he respects her equally and is making the final decision based on faith and scripture. This is probably in response to the Harris ad where the women are told to lie to their husbands about who they are voting for and not to tell them, which is so unbelievably toxic to a marriage. The wording of the tweet was awful but he added clarity if you agree or not.

Extra clarity: “But as the church is subject to Christ, so also the wives ought to be to their husbands in everything.” -Ephesians 5:24 Now, submission does have limits. A wife doesn’t need to submit to her husband in sin (in this case voting democrat). In such cases, she submits to her heads’s Head—Christ. But outside of clear accounts of sin, she ought to conform and be one with her husband in all things. “And if a house is divided against itself, that house will not be able to stand.” -Mark 3:2
