answered that. Saw the first half, but only radio for the second half. From what I saw and heard too many defensive lapses beat us. Our communication skills are terrible. We just give up way too many wide open looks because of confusion. For those whining about our lack of size killing us..yeah it hurts a bit, but we had 40 boards to their 42 and 12 offensive to their 13 and we actually had more points off ours. If we had played behind their posts the entire game, or really come hard with offside help when they lobbed inside and made them kickout we win cause they couldn't hit a jumper in the first half.
Hammonds has upped his game the last several,imo, and 13-9 is not bad, but posters are killing him. Missing 3-4 freethrows late really hurt and it sounds as if Savir should have pulled up for a short jumper in the lane on the last play. SC announcers said he had wide open look if he does.
No doubt being on the road, USC desperate for a win and refs with the word USC needs it didn't help.
