This team has so many high impact injuries, making adjustments for drafted (elite) play makers (like Darnell), and are supporting a new starting QB. Yet, when you read this board there is stupid posts regarding firing Bobo.
My take:
- We will continue to improve over the next month. Kirby has proven his ability to grow talent and groom champions.
- We are not elite on the DL and will need Jordan Hall to grow up quickly.
- The Mimms injury is significant…but our depth will expand as a by-product.
- Beck looked better in the second half and continues to grow with each snap.
- Bobo called a good game overall. There were several open receivers for big plays in the first half…that Beck didn’t see.
- Bobo is helping Beck by reinforcing ball control, no turnovers, and leaning on our OL power.
- Kicking is a real problem. This game was kept closer in the second half by simple
Misses that previous kickers would have nailed.
Lastly, I’m confident in the direction of this team based on Kirby’s track record. But our fan base has become entitled and candidly, uninformed whiners. Get behind these kids and support the staff as we navigate this new team of players.
