Damn I'm bummed. We had this series. We were the better team. Well maybe. The better team makes the plays.
I had us predicted at 6-6 pre conference at this point. I thought we would get there. Alas, we are 5-7. But, can anyone say we are a legit 5-7 or do you feel we can play better? I do. Which makes me hopeful.
I learned our defense will cost us on the road. The pitching is better than I thought it would be in SEC. We should have won this series with no Charlie G.
I already knew and justified that we can't score many runs without the long ball, which means outside Foley, we will struggle.
Call me foolish, but I think this loss helps us more than a win. It's easier to tell people to look in the mirror and work harder on the stuff you've been telling them is true when it leads to a loss.
It could be this one loss keeps us out of a regional, but I don't believe that. We are a good team of transfers still trying to mesh together and this is another step in that process.
Time to make hay at home. Keep swinging boys!
