The one thing that I cannot help but notice is how dirty it is that Saban announces he is retiring after the conclusion of the early signing period and the early transfer portal window for players looking to transfer within the conference. Many people will say it was not planned that way, but I will not buy it for a second.
All we’ve heard from current players, former and commits is that he’d be around for many more years. Sounds like it was sold as such to ensure the roster remained intact for their HC search.
