In north Alabama a employer told a employee to remove the confederate flag from his truck or risk being fired .
Do you feel the employer has that right ?

If the employee uses that vehicle while representing the employer or parks it in a lot owned by the employer? Absolutely. In north Alabama a employer told a employee to remove the confederate flag from his truck or risk being fired .

Agreeance. You have free speech, so does your employer. Your speech is protected, you are not protected from the repercussions of your free speech. The government cant limit your free speech but your employer can.If the employee uses that vehicle while representing the employer or parks it in a lot owned by the employer? Absolutely.
And if an employer has to lay people off, he should be able to start with the employees with "Obama" stickers on their cars.Agreeance. You have free speech, so does your employer. You can't think, period. Because you aren't very good at thinking, you resort to name-calling and saying ridiculous things like, "neo-confederate" and "Obama-hate". That is definitely sad and really pathetic. You can't think without being consumed with Obama hate.
It's sort of sad, and really pathetic.
I don't need to call you any names. It's too easy to shred your arguments, which have very little basis in fact. You might want to try being an adult and ignore any epithets hurled at you rather than hurling them back. Maybe that's just how they roll on the NATIONAL BOARD.I resort to name calling ? I'm guessing you never notice the shit posted to me, including from you.
You're a simple minded, hate mongering fool. Is that name calling ?

I completely shredded your "100% about slavery" comment. I was able to provide evidence backing my opinion up. You on the other hand had nothing to support your opinion, so you just babbled on about "hate," just like you are now and in pretty much every other thread in which you are involved. Of course, as has been pointed out, that's what liberals do to try to shut down debate when they have nothing - call the other person "racist" or accuse him of "hate." You bring absolutely nothing to the table. The only thing you shred is common sense and decency. You do so when you open your mouth or post a message. I'm guessing you don't even care about football. This is just a place to spew your backwards hate.

Of course you don't want to give credit to a source that shredded your ridiculous statement. No serious person thinks that slavery was the only issue that caused friction between North and South and ultimately led to secession. If one did, you'd be able to cite him. But if that silly opinion assuages your white guilt, good for you. You're still wrong. You recited some tired nonsense that was old when JB Stoner spewed it in The Thunderbolt in the 1960s. It's such weak and over-used tripe I have no compulsion to run around in circles when it's clear you have no capacity to advance your thinking at this time.
If it makes you feel like you made some point, I really don't care.
somebody that worries about that doesn't have enough work to doIn north Alabama a employer told a employee to remove the confederate flag from his truck or risk being fired .

That seems understandable , in your situationI had employees who went into the homes of customers. I had a very easy dress code that a few simply would not follow. I had to end our association. Making the customer comfortable and confident in those I sent to do the job was a part of my business.
If the employee uses that vehicle while representing the employer or parks it in a lot owned by the employer? Absolutely.
I think you gotta give leeway to a car just parked in the lotThis
You don't believe that. So, its cool if someone shows up to work with a white power sticker on their car and parks it in front of your business everyday?I think you gotta give leeway to a car just parked in the lot
I didn't say for stupid stuff .... Just give a little leeway . I wouldn't bother anybody over a confederate flagYou don't believe that. So, its cool if someone shows up to work with a white power sticker on their car and parks it in front of your business everyday?

I wouldn't go through the parking lot looking for crap to be pissed off about. I'd be in my office working on business matters , not worrying about whiny crapWhat about in the current environment if you had valued black employees ? There are MANY with CFs on their trucks and cars the past couple of weeks, it is clearly meant as a statement.
Personally I would ban any controversial materials and be done with it.
Yes you would walk your parking lot, If you own a retail bidness your parking lot is part of your office. When your #1 black customer came in complaining about the CFs and the white power stickers in the parking lot, it is no longer whiney crap.I wouldn't go through the parking lot looking for crap to be pissed off about. Nah.... I think you're wrong about that, but then again , I don't think people with that sort of message would work in retail.... Or it'd be so minimal as to not cause me to take time away from running my business to worry about itYes you would walk your parking lot, If you own a retail bidness your parking lot is part of your office. Helen "Ban it" Hound. Bet you're a blast at parties.
Oh hell yes I am. That's why I get invited to parties. Google it.I'm betting you're bat shit crazy at parties, and everywhere else.
Seriously doubt itI'd say there would be a very good chance it would be brought to your attention.

Just keep churning up impossible and unlikely scenarios. I wouldn't employ ignorant rednecks to begin with, but if I did, I wouldn't worry about a tag on their carSo you run a small company with a number of black employees, at this eventful time somebody puts a confederate flag on their vehicle and parks it in your parking lot, somebody would let to know.
I have a feeling you're afraid to post that pic because it involves your mother. Per usual.I found a drooley the clown, is that you ?

Oh....that must be a Georgia thing what with all the hardline racists there, just like used to post all over this board . I thought the original post was just about a racist stars and bars license plateWho said anything about a tag ? I might have missed something in this thread. I'm referring to the big Rebel flags that have been attached to vehicles for the past 2 weeks.
